Facilitating discussion groups to gather the views of sheltered housing scheme managers and of allocations and housing officers working for the Council and for its partner housing association landlords to inform the Council's review of sheltered housing provision in Cardiff and to inform the strategic direction for the future development of sheltered housing and designated housing for older people.

Research with a range of organisations and excluded people, to address concerns about facilitating access to social housing for people who have been suspended or excluded from waiting lists. The work included gathering information from social landlords to establish the extent to which suspensions/ exclusions from housing waiting lists are used, reasons for suspensions/exclusions, and strategies for considering people for re-inclusion. Interviews were held with excluded people to gather their experiences of the suspension/exclusion process, advice they had been offered/had sought, their subsequent housing history and long term housing aspirations.

Crime and anti-social behaviour survey based on a series of focus groups with tenants and residents and analysis of existing data and information on anti-social behaviour.

An evaluation of the use of introductory and starter tenancies by Welsh social landlords. The study involved a literature and practice review, eight case studies, a review of policies and procedures, interviews with ex-tenants, ex-tenants, national organizations and non-landlord agencies at local level.
